Welcome to the new 20six.co.uk
Hi Everyone, I hope you're all looking forward to summer and have some exciting things planned. What better way to keep your friends and family in touch with what you're doing this summer than with the exciting new version of the 20six platform? We've been taking on board your suggestions and your function requests and the programmers have been working very hard to make a much improved new platform for you all. In this post I'm going to go through some of the new features with you so that you can get straight down to enjoying them. The look and feel of the whole site has been updated and hopefully you will find our new administrator area when you log-in is much more user friendly. Don't panic at it looking different - because we wanted to make sure that the change is easy for you, it works in a very similar way and you can still find the options you need in the left hand menu. New Functions Are:

Can someone please contact me with regards what I can do? I would hate to give up on 20six after all these years of blogging. |

That doesn't give me a lot of hope for my own question being answered, but I'm going to give it a try anyway. Dear Customer Support, When you say you offer support does that include accompanying a blogger who has been around 20six for about five years through the hazards of the site homepage? A very seedy crowd hangs around the portal to 20six-erville these days. I know just enough about the big wide world to know that a lot of things that the blogging community here used to chase out of the bright lights of the place are now skulking around in full force. They don't even wear an overcoat that might cover up some of their barefaced past times. So my question is: Is this place really turned into a red light blog district or is some attempt going to be made to restore an atmosphere that a person could invite their relatives to visit? I still do wonder why the place was ever crap-ified the way it was. Does that really pay the site bosses better than posts that are written and commented on by people who have something to say, like that nice Connor up there? He sure could have used an answer and he deserved the courtesy of one. Every hoping, BA |

Peter (27.10.08 16:53) Hi Balancing Act, I am aware of the problems with the homepage. It's unfortunate to say the least. I delete literally hundreds of these blogs everyday but as yet have been unable to stop people creating them - they don't seem to give up despite the deletions. I do go through everyday and remove them but at present it is a war of attrition - I'm not online 24/7 so there are inevitably times when they create many and I don't get to delete them until that evening or the next day. I'm very sad that this place is like this now and am trying to work with the bosses to find a solution that will stop it. Here I go again: When I first started blogging in the early 2000's, I divided my entries into categories, and accessing the entries neatly categorized, worked everytime. When 20six had a rehaul, a few years ago, The list of my categories were still there on the blog, but all my entries were chronologically together. When I click on categories on my blog, 'no entries yet' is what I see. When I edit my entries, I make sure that I use the appropriate categories at the top of my entry, but my actual blog, as I said before, states that there are 'no entries' in said categories. Could you please tell me now to catagorize my entries as whatever I do, nothing changes. Please.......................... |
